Each year, we offer a number of internship positions across all Borealis AI locations. Domestic and international graduate students pursuing degrees in Canadian universities or abroad are eligible to apply to this program.
Borealis AI has partnered with Mitacs to offer internships in a collaborative setting between our labs and a Canadian university. This program requires that both applicants and their academic advisors submit a proposal to Borealis AI for peer review. As such, it is recommended that applicants initiate this process at least 6 months before the intended internship start date.
How to apply:
Submit your application to firstname.lastname@example.org and provide the following:
Please use subject line: Mitacs Internship – [your full name]
- Information about your home institution (university / department / address / country).
- The name and contact details of your academic advisor at your home university.
- A short (500-word max.) description of your proposed research. Note that a lengthier proposal will be required at a different stage for submission to the Mitacs peer-review process and this will be prepared in collaboration with your academic advisor.
- If you are applying from abroad and you already have a collaborator at a Canadian university with whom you wish to pursue this internship, please provide their name, institution and contact information. If you don’t have a Canadian academic counterpart, please make note of that in your message. Every effort will be made to find a suitable academic partner for your project.
